Delille Thomas, one of America’s most creative and dynamic Latin dance performers and instructors, has become a master in the field. Since 1987, he has gained international recognition for his pure style and virtuosity.

Mr. Thomas has danced on “The Cosby Show” on NBC and “The Sally Jessy Raphael Show ” on ABC. He also appeared on the “I Like It Like That” music video for the movie and “The Mambo King Album Tour” video. His originality and masterfulness are evident in his dancing in “The 16th Annual Salsa Festival” video taped at Madison Square Garden, and in the David Byrne produced “Make Believe Mambo” music video.

In June 1996, Mr. Thomas appeared with Tito Puente and La India in “Jazzin”, a musical video that also featured the Count Basie Orchestra. Nowhere are his pure style and incredible technique more on display than in the instructional and entertainment videos “Salsa Nightclub Style”, Vol. 1 & 2. He is also the featured dancer in the documentary film “Yo Soy Del Son A La Salsa” which traces the history of Salsa from its origins to the present.

In 2001, he co-produced and co-starred in Mambo D Unplugged “ The Art of Partner Dancing instructional Salsa video.

In 2011, he was featured in the documentary film ” La Epoca- Part II, The Lost Rhythms in Salsa”.

His unique technique and style have earned him a reputation as a master teacher.

In October 2005, he opened the new Mambo D Dance Center in NY. One of his goals is to develop the Mambo to a level where it will be viewed as more than just a social dance. Everyone who loves the intoxicating rhythms of the Mambo is invited to attend his classes and partake in his quest to elevate the dance to a true art form.
